Global Cat Day, celebrated annually on October 16th, is a pivotal event for Alley Cat Allies, aimed at raising awareness about cat welfare and inspiring global action. In 2021, the goal was to amplify the campaign's reach, foster meaningful engagement, and position Alley Cat Allies as a leader in feline advocacy. Through innovative campaign management, strategic engagement, and creative graphic design, we helped drive significant visibility and interaction across multiple platforms. The campaign centered around the #GlobalCatDay hashtag, which became a rallying point for cat lovers worldwide.

To build momentum leading up to Global Cat Day, we implemented a multi-faceted strategy that combined engagement tactics, campaign management, and visually compelling design. We developed a pre-event content calendar featuring countdown posts, interactive polls, and engaging prompts to generate anticipation. Our team also identified and collaborated with influential partners such as Animal Planet and Smithsonian Magazine to expand the campaign’s reach and credibility.

On the day of the event, we monitored social media in real-time, fostering community interaction by responding to comments, sharing user-generated content, and encouraging conversations around #GlobalCatDay. Our design team crafted a cohesive suite of visuals, including social media templates, infographics, and downloadable resources, ensuring all materials aligned with the mission of Alley Cat Allies. By maintaining a consistent and celebratory tone, we captured the spirit of the event and inspired participation on a global scale.

Key posts from influential organizations like Animal Planet and Smithsonian Magazine garnered 3.5K and 1K likes, respectively, significantly boosting the campaign's visibility. Several posts on Facebook and Instagram also saw thousands of likes and shares, underscoring the strong resonance of the campaign with audiences.
